Is a class B driving license sufficient to tow the mini caravan?
Yes! With a regular mid-size car, you can tow the BLACKCAMP with a class B driving license. You can tow a total weight of up to 3500 kg (car + trailer). We offer our BLACKCAMP mini caravans with various total weights: 750 kg, 950 kg, 1100 kg, 1200 kg, 1300 kg, 1500 kg, and 1600 kg.
Does the mini caravan need its own insurance?
The mini-caravan is insured with the car if it is attached to the car! However, you need stand insurance if the mini caravan is parked without the car.
What do I do with the BLACKCAMP if it rains?
Our AUTOHOME roof tents are storm-proof and waterproof and offer a comfortable place to sit or lie down. We also offer various awnings that provide sufficient dry space. These can optionally be equipped with sidewalls to create a full tent.
And if the weather doesn’t play along – just keep driving! That’s the beauty of a vacation with the BLACKCAMP: it offers you freedom and mobility!
Can you go off-road with the BLACKCAMP?
Absolutely yes! Our off-road mini-caravans offer the best solution for every road. Choose the 14″ tires which, in conjunction with the two axles, offer a very good slope angle and over 30 cm ground clearance. The BLACKCAMP mini caravans are particularly suited for off-road adventures as they are small, compact, and maneuverable. Additionally, they impress with their excellent ground clearance.
How quickly can I set up the BLACKCAMP mini caravan?
Experienced BLACKCAMP users need only two minutes for this! As a beginner you should reckon with 5 minutes.
Do I need a big car to tow the mini caravan?
No, nowadays any mid-range car can tow our FREEda models, which can weigh between 750kg and 1.000kg depending on the equipment.
How many sleeping places does the BLACKCAMP offer?
Traveling with up to 5 people is no problem. The FREEda models come with roof-top tents featuring a sleeping area of 210×165 cm. Additionally, a bed can be installed inside, providing a sleeping area of 170×120 cm. The FREEda XL model, on the other hand, offers an interior bed measuring 200×120 cm. If this is not sufficient, other roof tents with sleeping areas of up to 200×220 cm can be installed.
Why did you choose two axles?
Installing two axles on the mini caravan offers several advantages. Two axles provide more stability and a more comfortable ride. Another advantage is that with two axles, you do not necessarily need the rear support legs when the mini caravan is parked without the car.
Can I see the BLACKCAMP somewhere?
Of course. The BLACKCAMP can be ordered directly at our factory in Boznerstr. 51, 39057 Appiano sulla Strada del Vino (Italy). Additionally, we work with various dealers across Europe. Another opportunity is offered by the many fairs we participate in. (See “Dealers fairs”)
What is the delivery time for a FREEda or FREEda XL?
The delivery time is about three to five months from the order. Sometimes we also have pre-built exhibition trailers that can be delivered in a few days.
Does the BLACKCAMP have fresh water?
Yes! Both models are equipped with a 60-liter fresh water tank and a 20-liter wastewater tank. Hot water can also be installed.
How long is the warranty on the BLACKCAMP?
The BLACKCAMP comes with a 2-year warranty from the delivery date. For electronics, we offer a 1-year warranty. Consumable parts such as brakes and tires are excluded from the warranty.
Can accessories also be retrofitted?
Yes! Many of our accessories can be installed retroactively.
Can the BLACKCAMP mini-caravan also be rented?
